Replace a split pull-down hose with the model-matched part. This manual Moen Arbor 7594C example uses hose 150259, a white quick-connect with a black button, and a snap-on weight. Close both supplies. Open the faucet through hot and cold and verify no flow. Stop for failed shutoffs, severe corrosion, or moving pipe, and call a plumber. Place a bowl underneath. Unclip the weight. Hold the white connector, press and hold its black button, and pull the hose end straight out. Pull the old hose up through the spout. Hold its coupling steady and unscrew the spray head. Clean and inspect the screen washer and O-ring; replace damaged seals. Seat them correctly, then attach the new hose to the head without overtightening. Feed the small end down through the spout and remove its protective cap. Push it into the connector until it clicks, then tug-test. Snap the weight onto the spray-head side a few inches above the loop’s bottom. Confirm free travel. Restore water slowly. Test both spray modes, extension and retraction, and inspect both connections.

01 / MATCH YOUR DESIGN

Confirm this is your version.

  • Manual Moen Arbor 7594C version using hose 150259, a white quick-connect with a black release button, and a snap-on hose weight.
  • Confirm the actual connector, hose part number and version first. The 7594 parts sheet also lists older hose/connection variants; this sequence does not apply to every 7594 faucet.
  • Inspect the spray-head screen washer and O-ring, remove the new hose's protective cap before connection, and perform a separate tug test after the click.
  • The weight sits on the moving spray-head side a few inches above the loop bottom, with clear travel. Keep the loop free of stored items and plumbing.
  • Follow any hose-weight locator mark supplied for the exact hose. The illustrated placement is approximate and must allow free travel.

Representative educational geometry, not manufacturer CAD or certification. Use the instructions supplied with your exact fixture and replacement part.

02 / CHECK BEFORE BUYING

Find the source of the problem.

  • Locate the leak before buying: distinguish a split hose from a loose spray-head union, damaged seal, supply leak or faucet-body leak.
  • A retraction problem alone may be an obstructed loop or misplaced weight. Inspect that before replacing a sound hose.

03 / PARTS & PREPARATION

Have the right tools ready.

  • Confirmed Moen 150259 replacement hose for the installed version
  • Correct matching spray-head seals if damaged
  • Bowl, towels, flashlight and a gentle hand-tool counterhold if needed

04 / THE PROCEDURE

Work through the repair.

  1. Identify the model-matched hose. Replace a split pull-down hose with the model-matched part. This manual Moen Arbor 7594C example uses hose 150259, a white quick-connect with a black button, and a snap-on weight.
  2. Isolate and verify no flow. Close both supplies. Open the faucet through hot and cold and verify no flow. Stop for failed shutoffs, severe corrosion, or moving pipe, and call a plumber. Place a bowl underneath.
  3. Release and remove the hose. Unclip the weight. Hold the white connector, press and hold its black button, and pull the hose end straight out. Pull the old hose up through the spout. Hold its coupling steady and unscrew the spray head.
  4. Inspect seals and fit the hose. Clean and inspect the screen washer and O-ring; replace damaged seals. Seat them correctly, then attach the new hose to the head without overtightening. Feed the small end down through the spout and remove its protective cap.
  5. Click, tug-test and position weight. Push it into the connector until it clicks, then tug-test. Snap the weight onto the spray-head side a few inches above the loop’s bottom. Confirm free travel.
  6. Test spray modes and retraction. Restore water slowly. Test both spray modes, extension and retraction, and inspect both connections.

05 / VERIFY THE RESULT

Test operation and check for leaks.

  • Restore both supplies slowly; test both spray modes and hot/cold operation.
  • Extend and retract the hose through its full intended travel without snagging.
  • Check the head connection and under-sink quick-connect while running and at rest.

KNOW YOUR LIMITS

Stop and get qualified help when…

  • Either shutoff fails; flow or pressure remains
  • Severe corrosion, moving pipework or a damaged quick-connect
  • Connector or weight differs from the illustrated version
  • The new connector fails the tug test, hose travel binds, or leakage remains
