Representative educational illustration with working and waiting time compressed. Read the exact model scope, safety checks and complete written procedure before starting.

01 / MATCH YOUR MODEL

Confirm this applies to your appliance.

  • Standard dishwasher with freely rotating user-accessible lower/middle spray arms. Loading and detergent corrections only; no spray-arm removal, jet probing, or drain-filter work.

Representative educational geometry, not manufacturer CAD or certification. Controls, access points and parts vary. Your exact model manual takes priority.

02 / SAFETY FIRST

Read this before starting.

  • Do not put hands inside while spraying or interior is hot.
  • No forcing stuck spray arms; if clear of dishes but not freely movable, stop and consult manual/service.
  • No spray-arm removal, sharp jet-cleaning tools, pump access, or mixed chemical cleaners.

03 / CHECK THE SYMPTOM

Choose the right next step.

  • Nested dishes, protruding utensils and blocked detergent dispensers can interfere with cleaning.
  • This is a loading check, not a circulation-pump repair or spray-arm disassembly procedure.

04 / PREPARATION

Have the right items ready.

  • Your dishwasher manual and automatic dishwasher detergent instructions
  • Space to rearrange the load after spraying stops and the interior cools
Before you begin

These checks are for your use only. They are not saved and do not certify compatibility.

05 / THE PROCEDURE

Work through the checks.

  1. Stop before rearranging. Cancel the cycle and wait until spraying stops and the interior cools. Open the door carefully. This guide corrects loading problems; it does not repair a failed circulation pump.
  2. Separate crowded dishes. Scrape away large food scraps. Space dishes so water can reach their surfaces, with dirty faces pointing inward and downward. Separate nested bowls and overlapping utensils.
  3. Clear the spray path. Move utensils hanging below the racks. Gently rotate each accessible spray arm. Reposition blocking dishes and check again. If an arm remains stuck, stop; never force it.
  4. Unblock the dispenser. Keep large plates and cutting boards away from the detergent dispenser. Check that its lid can open without striking a dish, then slide the racks fully back into place.
  5. Use the correct detergent. Add fresh automatic dishwasher detergent, using the amount specified by the detergent label and your manual. Never substitute hand dishwashing liquid; excess foam can overflow onto the floor.
  6. Choose a full-rack wash. Select a cycle suited to the soil level. Turn off Top Rack Only if both racks are loaded. Run the cycle; persistent poor cleaning or an error needs model-specific service.

06 / VERIFY THE RESULT

Test safely and watch the result.

  • Use the model’s appropriate cycle and detergent quantity. Ensure both racks are included if both are loaded.
  • If dishes still wash poorly or an error appears, follow the model troubleshooting guidance or arrange service. Do not force a clear but stuck spray arm.
